Michael has been invited to perform the national anthem at the Fairgrounds Speedway for their event on Saturday June 13th. Michael will be performing his songs I Love Her Anyway and Easy to Leave live at the Mark Trail Music Showcase 2009 at Nashville’s historic Douglas Corner Cafe. A storied venue that has seen performances by many major country music stars. Michael will be joined by percussionist and band member Robert Lei, who will be putting his sticks aside to provide harmony vocals. The two will also be assisted by the very accomplished John Foster. This performance in this legendary Nashville venue will be Michael’s first in the United States since going solo in 2005. The Mark Trail Music Showcase is a showcase of up and coming songwriters and performers during Country Music Week’s Festival and Fan Fare. This TV Interview with the Nashville Broadcast Network will be Michael’s first ever in the US and will kick off a four day stay in Nashville during Country Music Week’s Festival and Fan Fare. The trip begins with Michael and his posse visiting Graceland on the 9th and includes a live performance of the songs I Love Her Anyway and Easy to Leave at the Douglas Corner Cafe on Thursday the 11th of June as part of the Mark Trail Music Showcase 2009.
