Michael Kosterman is a
singer and songwriter who was born and raised on the west coast of
Canada. He began writing at the age of 15 and by the age of 22 was
travelling all over British Columbia performing with various bands.
In 1988 Michael had his first professional recording session. One of the
songs from that session, titled Leaving The Bad Times Behind, brought
attention from Penta Records in Vancouver. Michael was not signed, but
the interest from the record label gave him confidence in his writing
abilities and the desire to continue recording.
Ten years later Michael recorded more songs in
Vancouver. One of the songs in this session was titled Just Like Me. Six
years later, in 2004, this song was re-recorded with the title Ride
Through The Rockies. Changes in the way music was promoted to radio
allowed Michael to begin to submit his songs for radio airplay to
